1. Amsterdam, the Netherlands (🚨Red Light District!)

One place you can’t miss if you’re looking for the best party location in Europe is Amsterdam.
It has been at the top of “best European party cities” lists for decades, and you already know why! Head to Amsterdam for a few days in this amazingly culturally-rich city that is safe and walkable (or bikeable– if you wish!).
During the day, tour around the center city, taking in sites like the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage canal ring. You can jump on a canal tour at many places around the city, and there is even cruise that includes pizza and beer! Or, take a ride on one of the best canal cruises in the city and be regaled with tales from the well-known Captain Jack!
Make sure to try some of Amsterdam’s delicious beers- the Heineken Experience is located here, and a tour comes with many tastings and fun add-ons.
In the evening is where the fun begins. Take a bar crawl or check out a local coffee shop. The Bulldog is popular with tourists and visitors and is a great place to grab a beer and some edibles or a joint. Melkweg, in Leidseplein, is a fantastic music joint for partygoers to enjoy, and, in reality, the entire area of Leidseplein is a top choice for evening fun!
Amsterdam is also popular for its world-famous Red Light District where prostitution is legal. Even if you aren’t partaking in the “festivities,” a stroll through the Red Light streets will definitely be a memorable, cultural experience worth a few laughs!
Stay at the centrally-located Eden Hotel Amsterdam for a comfortable getaway. It is close to the bar and nightclub-filled Rembrandtplein, but is quiet enough that you’ll be able to get rest when you need it!
Whatever you decide to do, Amsterdam is bumpin’ until the early morning light; it truly seems to never sleep, making it the perfect location for one of the best places for nightlife in Europe!

2. Mallorca, Spain (The Balearic Islands)

Mallorca, one of the Balearic islands in Spain, is known as one of the best places to party in Europe. It is a great place to celebrate and unwind because of the party-specific towns on the island and its mild climate, which makes it possible to be outdoors for a good part of the year.
Without a doubt, the most popular party city on the island is Magaluf, where groups of young adults often go for bachelor and bachelorette parties (or stags and hen dos). The island is inexpensive and offers plenty of great bars and clubs where you can party until the early hours of the morning.
In addition to dancing and drinking the night away, there are plenty of things to do on Magaluf. If you stay at the adults-only Hotel Florida, you’ll be in close proximity to the entire town!

Paris is a city known for its stunning architecture, world-class museums, fabulous food, and, of course, its party scene!
You can spend your days relaxing in the Jardin du Luxembourg and visiting iconic spots like the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Louvre Museum. After you’ve explored the city and maybe even watched the sunset from Montmartre (a luxurious and memorable experience!), you’ll want to head out on the town to enjoy Paris at night.
You can visit the city anytime, but you’ll find the best nightlife if you visit Paris over the weekend. Expats and visitors love Tennessee, a cocktail bar with live music and drinks near the Odéon metro stop. For a smaller, more upscale spot with cocktails crafted with fresh juices, check out Dindon Dandy near the Gare de l’Est metro stop.
France is known for its wine, so you’ll want to be sure to do some wine tastings while you’re in Paris. One of the best ways to do that is by going on a wine tour, like the sommelier-led Wine Tasting Experience with Devour Tours. This way, you’ll get to try some of the best wines from various regions of France.
If you want to test your newfound knowledge and you’re up for a challenge, head to a wine bar in the city that offers a mystery wine. Usually, you’ll pay for a glass of mystery wine, and if you guess the region that it’s from, you’ll win a bottle for free!
When choosing a spot in Paris, always ensure that the location is very central so that you’re able to get around easily. The Hôtel Le Walt, which faces the Eiffel Tower, is the perfect choice for an unforgettable trip to The City of Lights.

4. Berlin, Germany

Whether you’re looking for a place for a bachelor or bachelorette party, or you just want to have a fun time on vacation, Berlin is one of the best European party cities.
Berlin is loaded with history and culture, but the city is also well known for its clubs and wild party scene. Hopefully you’re spending at least 3 days in Berlin so you can experience the party scene as well as the sights.
Berlin has a different type of club for just about any interest. Try Berghain if you want to check out one of the most famous clubs in the world. Dress down, not up, and black is a good choice. Be prepared to wait in a long line, and don’t be too surprised if you get turned away. This club is notoriously hard to get into.
Sisyphos, KitKat, Tresor, and Watergate are also popular choices. Do your research so you know what you’re getting into. For example, at KitKat you’ll be expected to strip to your underwear and leave your clothes at the coat check. Yes, it’s THAT kind of party.
Street art is a huge part of the Berlin landscape, and something you shouldn’t miss when you come to Berlin. Of course you should check out the East Side Gallery, considered the largest outdoor art gallery in the world. But in nearby sections of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, you can see some of the best street art in the city. Consider taking a tour like this one to learn about the art and artists as well as some interesting info about why street art is so important in Berlin.
Another great way to experience Berlin is through the beer that Germany is so famous for. There’s a thriving craft beer scene here, with many craft beer breweries trying interesting things that break the rules of Germany’s centuries-old beer purity standards. It’s worth taking a craft beer tour to learn more, and Muted Horn, Strassenbraeu, and Protokoll are good beer bars to try.
For a fun place to stay in Berlin, check out Circus Hostel. It’s centrally located, well connected by transport, and they have their own brewery and cocktail bar downstairs.

12. Reykjavik, Iceland

When you think of Iceland, you may think of epic landscapes, but the Land of Fire and Ice is so much more than that. In fact, because of the long and cold winters, Icelanders have developed a hell of a party scene!
The capital of Reykjavik is home to about 60% of the country’s population, so, unsurprisingly, it’s definitely the best place to explore the country’s nightlife scene. In fact, you’ll probably want to spend a few days in Iceland exploring!
For an excellent introduction to the city’s drinking culture, go on the Reykjavik Bar Tour, where you’ll be guided around by a knowledgeable local and score free drinks at most of the stops along the way. Not only will you get to try the local beer, but you’ll also have the opportunity to learn about Icelandic culture and meet other visitors (perfect for solo travelers). Just make sure to include some warm layers on your Iceland packing list to keep you warm as you walk (or stumble!) your way from place to place.
One thing to note is that Iceland is an expensive country—and alcohol is even pricier. So try to hit up some of the city’s best happy hours. For example, a crowd favorite is the Lebowski Bar, themed after the cult classic movie. It has an excellent happy hour from 4-7 PM and a bumping dance floor into the wee hours of the night. Alternatively, Kiki Queer Bar is Iceland’s only gay bar, which boasts a solid happy hour from 9 PM- 1AM every Thursday to Tuesday.
During your stay in Reykjavik, consider staying at Loft HI Hostel, an eco-hostel with awesome facilities to enjoy during your time in the city. It has amenities like a rooftop terrace that overlooks the neighborhood, and, as it happens, one of the city’s best happy hours!
