All of the rooms are furnished with special touches from the period that the hotel was built, like high ceilings and soft carpet to really make your experience shine.

Alongside the luxurious rooms, the Ness Walk Hotel allows you to easily jump onto the Ness Walk, a beautiful trail that winds along the banks of the River Ness in downtown Inverness.

Each apartment has its own full kitchen, so you can prepare meals for yourself to save some money during your travels around Scotland.
My husband and I stayed here during one of our recent visits to Inverness, and we really loved the location of the property, right in the heart of Inverness. On top of that, we felt like royalty having such a large deck to look out over the water from.
The Highland Apartments are literally in the city center (like you walk out your door and onto High Street) and make it easy to explore other places like Isle of the Skye, Loch Ness, and nearby castles.

Although this hotel is missing the castle vibes that the other hotels have, being just a short walk away from Inverness Castle (which reopens in 2025!) makes up for it. The rooms have a contemporary, modern flair to them which makes them unique from others in Inverness.
With various room options, some having views of the River Ness and others overlooking the city of Inverness, youโve got plenty of options!
The city center is practically at your doorstep, with most everything just a 5-minute walk away. From the Victorian Market to Leakey’s Bookshop and other shopping, thereโs tons to do nearby.
After a day out, unwind at the hotelโs restaurant, and be sure to grab a plate of the daily breakfast to get you fueled up before you head out.

I stayed at the Royal Highland Hotel a few months ago, and I will tell you that the traditional feel makes it one of the best places to stay in Inverness. From the grand staircase as you enter the lobby (total Titanic vibes) to the freshly baked scones at afternoon tea, youโll never want to leave.
The guest rooms are filled with charming decor, and there are many sizes to choose from, depending on what you need. The hotel is located right next to the Inverness Train Station, making this a great choice of accommodation in Inverness if you’re traveling via train from somewhere like Edinburgh.
Plus, just outside your doorstep lies the city center, so you can easily walk to most everything. We were able to walk to restaurants and bars within 2 minutes, and the Victorian Market is right across the street!
